I used to own the 2002 release of these but sold them. Suddenly I realized that I owned absolutely zero of this model, so I ordered the 2015 Air Jordan 7 French Blue.
These get their name from the colorway and might just be my favorite Air Jordan 7!
While I find blue shoes tough to rock a lot of times, these are mostly white and have different shades of blue and grey. Therefore, these can be rocked like any clean white shoe! These look great with blue denim in any shade, grey or khaki colored denim. Joggers work as well with these. I like a light grey or blue top to go with these, as these are one of the few kicks that I feel respond well to directly matching up the colors a bit.
Good thing I have some 7s back in the collection again! One of my favorite features of this colorway is the barely translucent bits of blue on the midsole/outsole. It’s not quite transparent/icy but its not opaque either. I think it adds real flair to the shoe!
How Are The Materials?
My memory is a tad foggy on the 2002 version of these, but I don’t remember there being a tumbled leather. Here however, there’s plenty of tumble although its not the most consistent. It’s tough to tell if its an actual tumble or just a tumbled finish but either way it’s decent! Overall I think the quality is fairly good as far as Jordan retros are concerned.
How Do They Fit?
These Air Jordan 7 French Blue fit very comfortably and true to size. I might have even been able to size down a half size but I prefer a less snug fit on retro Jordans (as opposed to runners). Overall 7s are one of the easier Jordans to just throw on and can actually be worn for longer periods of time right out of the box!
